Robert and I spent allot of time on the phone and emails over the years
but we did not share allot of the same ideas
I have not been one for ratio rockers and Ceramic coatings
Robert did try allot of different possibilities
My engines are closer to stock and I am not a fan of higher compression
ratios and larger pistons
The Blue engine posted earlier in this thread had very little left that was
stock even the rods had been replaced by some unknown to me brand WHY?
I think the stock Rod when rebuilt properly is hard to outdue
Same for the cam no aftermarket cam I know of works as well over all as the
stock 2.1 cam
Oil pumps heck give me a nice stock WBX pump right from the factory used but
not abused it fits the case tighter and makes oil pressure as well if not
better than any aftermarket unit out there
Change is not always for the best
I spent allot of time on the dyno as a kid with the old 40 hp engines. the
dyno does not lie many of the changes I made did not make more but less
power. I always learned something every time at the track and on the dyno
B Bob
