hello, I just replaced mine (in a 1990) though i purchased the part (ATE) from van-cafe i believe it is the same one as you are referring to. http://www.van-cafe.com/vanagon_parts.jsp?pa=p&p=280311162&pct=956662428&ct=645015819 I had no issues with the part fitting, though I did put the two sensors from the old MC on the new one as the connectors were different on the new one.
