Somehow, I never understood how VW got away with selling any 72
buses. The first year the type 4 motor went in there, they didn't
bother to put an access hatch from the top to get at the factory oil
bath air cleaners and gosh what a PITA to do anything on those motors
without the top access that the 73-79 had. always wondered what sort
of retro fix they gave that and the reason I'd never buy a 72 for any
reason. YMMV
