<Based on that though, they do seem to drive pretty nice.> A world of difference between that one and the '62 panel I drove 160 miles a few weeks ago. It had very little of the rubber seals left, the seals around the glass looked like Swiss cheese, and there was nothing left of any seals around the doors or rear hatch, so the exhaust was getting sucked into the interior. The drivers side door would'nt latch. The right front wheel was streaked with brake fluid when we left Natural Bridge. By the time we broke down on I66 the right rear wheel was leaking brake fluid as well. The majority of the trip was spent on I-81 though. Nothing like chugging along at 50 mph while 18 wheelers are flying by you at 80 mph! It's primary color was rust. The turn signals didn't work. It did attract a lot of attention, though, and did have a "coolness" factor. Jeff |
