Whether using CCD or CMOS sensors, I shoot in RAW and bracket nearly all exposures and then run them through PhotoMatix HDR program (High Dymanic Range). One can do this with TIFF or JPEG, but RAW is best. PhotoMatix will also do a faux HDR on any ONE RAW file. Works for me.
