Well, CL isn't like ebay where you click and commit to buying it and click
and send money. It's just a classified site, the actual sale is face to
face people, money, item. It works well. You can be disappointed when you
show up to look at an item and it isn't as described, but you can always
walk away. I've seen that ad a few times, along with the fake pop-top ads on
PDX CL and SEA CL. Funny stuff. It'd be fun to meet the guy.

Obviously a well-done prank, the poster knows exactly what not to say abut
a vanagon and says it. But, for sake of argument, what if I had the money
and bought it? If it didn't really have a waterbed in it, say, would I be
entitled to go after the seller for fraud? What if he just snapped this
picture of a vanagon on the street, and he doesn't really own it, and
somebody buys it?
Just wondering about CraigsList in that regard.
