I don't even junk them, I turn them all into running vans again, or keep them neatly organized as parts donors. Question : What happens to most of the parts when you remove them from a vanagon for later use somewhere and you toss the carcass ?

Answer - the parts take up room ( doors are THE worst ! - you can save a vw door or fender for YEARS before you find a home for it ) ..........so the parts take up room, plus, you can't find some little gizmo when you need it, or remember what screws mount it.....when you keep it on the parts van you always know where it is !

And yes........having room is really nice. I just happen to have a lucky situation right now for parking room.

Sorry Scott, if I saved every Vanagon shell that's been through here, I would need at least a couple of acres.

And shipping to Chris in PA is too expensive...

Cheers,

Jeff

"I urge everyone to not throw away good vanagon bodies, or 'part them' out, because each vanagon body has hundreds of small good parts on it that can be used to make other vanagons happier or upgrade them."
