The pictures remind me of some items that used to sit on the counter in the used parts department at the local VW dealer. The guys there had taken the wobble plate and pistons from some defunct compressors and welded the pistons in place to form figures that would stand. Very cute. I remember the surprise on one young guys face when I knew what they were made from.
