True, that. A recurring subject. A lot has been written about it. Anyone willing to do a quick and dirty writeup of the matter for me to post on the wiki?

I did cover the subject of battery capacity vs appliance loads on the Solar Power page of the wiki, if anyone wants to see whether an Optima, or other battery, is sufficiently capacious (that's a word, isn't it?) for their microwave oven or blender.
