Bryan, Regards CV's - there are two aspects to consider. (1) - loose CV/CV bolts, and (2) one or more worn CV's Run a positive test on the CV's. Find a big empty parking lot somewhere, crank your steering wheel all the way over to the stop in one direction, and drive the van in a circle a couple of times whilst the steering wheel is at the stops. Accelerate and decelerate a bit in the process. Once done, change directions and repeat. If you have a CV problem it will more that likely show up during this test. Might not, but most likely will. It has worked for me a couple of times. If yo have one that is dying, you definitely know where it is. After you do the test. or maybe even before the test - make darn sure your CV bolts are tight. Loose CV bolts will allow the mating surface of the CV race to flange to move around and that will induce a popping knocking sound, much like a CV whose wear tolerances are getting out of limits. Good luck. John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
