I have been unable to locate later-model RWD front suspension, for which reason my project van is still on hold, and I'm getting really itchy about it. I had an idea... I know a Syncro front-end can be fitted with some work, and no doubt the springs can be shortened to level the van. What I want to know is, are the Syncro stubaxles (knuckles) the same profile as RWD ones, ie do they take the same bearing inner diameters and have the same bearing spacings? I don't want VW hubs or rotors; these will be replaced by my nonVW brake kit, which is designed for later RWD stubs. If the person in Calgary who a couple of years ago offered me a free Syncro front-end would please contact me... |
