I do not want to start a political debate here (or by p-mail, for that matter), but we left AAA and joined the Better World Club (www.betterworldclub.com) because we did not find the positions advocated by AAA to correspond very closely to our personal, left-of-center political positions. We have not needed the breakdown coverage (knock on wood till my knuckles bleed), so I can't offer any personal feedback on that. They offer basic and premium membership levels, and I think the latter is comparable to AAA+: http://www.betterworldclub.com/roadside_assistance/benefits.htm We have the premium membership. They also offer other things, like bicycle coverage. I can't offer any personal feedback on that either. FWIW, Mark Hersh 86 Weekender "Monty" prepping for big trip Sep-Oct 08 |
