Hi List, Recently the oil light on my new-to-me '88 stopped working, I think. It flashes ever so briefly when I turn the key but doesn't light up if I leave the key on without starting. Grounding the sensor wire doesn't light it up. Is there something about this system I should know (and don't obviously)? A relay, fuse (all are new) or something else? The light did work as normal prior to this and I even heard the buzzer for a sec once, not sure what that was. Oil is 20w/50, new filter, no leaks, no noises. I'm working my way through lots of ham-fisted P.O. repairs, so something may have been screwed up before my time. Just looking for a clue to the "Aha" I know I'll find soon. Also, I'm in need of a late model seat belt part for the rear seat, the male end of one buckle. Any extras out there? Thanks, Gregory Smith Olympia '88 Vanagon '84 Vanagon (for sale) '87 Bertone X1/9 Corsa |
