The answer to this is how big is your hammer and wallet?

Practical "common" motor would have to be the 2.0L TDI from the Passat and the upcoming 2009 Jetta / Golf / Tiguan

The R5 and V6 TDIs will fit back there do.

With a lot of cutting / work / work / work / bucket of money I am sure you could out a V10 TDI back there...
