Go back to the wbx? No way. There may be other worthy types of conversions to consider, but this was one that I could afford, by doing as much as I could myself. I bought a '93 Legacy donor and test drove it for about 1k miles. I bought the KEP adapter plate to put it in my '91 GL AT. Also bought the shortened oil pan from Mastercraft. Everything else I made and installed myself: engine support, coolant pipes, wiring harness, intake, PS connection, VSS, etc., etc. Still have to do the AC connection and improve the heater plumbing. Only real problem has been cracking of some welds on my home made header pipes.

Vinnie is now much more fun to drive. Since Oct 1, we have made trips from Chicago to Connecticut and New Orleans.

Conversion cost was about $2200 depending on how you count. (And countless hours of labor. Took me about 9 months, fooling with it part time.)
