i had that happen on the way across the dalles with my new 1.9 inplace now i have a seeping problem at the place behind the fuel pump where the coolant fitting T's into the block so i spent today limping along ...stopping to refill water every time the light came on every 10 minutes ... once i assured myself that i was seeing the only leak at this seeping bolt node i risked a can of Stop Leak ... that got me from wolf creek to medford oregon with out further stops spent the rest of the afternoon getting new vw coolant and met the very helpful guy at the pats counter at medford lithia vw he called ahead for me to a parts place to get certain things i might need to effect repairs in the light of day ... i thought i had repaired all when i replaced the overflow hose ... will see better tomorrow ... yours
