Probably just make it even harder to get it moving. A set of chains, however, would make it as good as a jeep in getting around on snowy roads.

Vans and long cars are always the best in snow. My jeep, which can always climb its way back out of the ditch, loves to twirl around at the slightest provocation - terrible road car when it's icy. Well, terrible road car. Both my Ford mini-van and Vanagon are great.
