Darn right it would be trouble, and  there might  be micro size bits of
asbestos possibly in there, and getting onto your dishes and into your body.
To be really kosher, I wouldn't risk it, not with a dish washer I ate off
the utensils out of.  

  One spec of asbestos can shorten your life considerably I believe. Too
much to risk.  A woman would likely get furious over that.
      But that's not the real danger. The real danger is to the only body
you get, far as we know.  Not worth the risk I say.  I'd run it 5 cycles
empty, then never do it again.  Too much risk, totally unnecessary risk.

One of the better, and less labor intensive ways is to use the good ole
dishwasher, if your house is so equipped. Just use the regular
dishwasher-type soap, and the "pots-n-pans" cycle, if ya got a choice. Turn
off the heated dry, or catch it before that part of the cycle starts. Does a
wonderful job. At least it has for me, so far. Great for wire wheel covers,
too.

  One thing, though. Make sure the wife / SO doesn't find out. Could be
trouble.
