Hello everyone, Anyone have any advice on this: my 88 auto will not pass inspection, the mechanic says there is too much fuel passing through the meter. I guess he means into the exhaust system? This is for a NYC inspection. Is this caused by the Oxygen sensor? I replaced it over a year ago with a new Bosch spice-in unit and it passed last year but now since I have changed my exhaust system with the S&S unit (the old one rusted through) it's not passing. I had it tuned up over the summer and it has been running fine. I get about 187 miles from fill up to the last white line on the fuel meter before the end zone. Which I think is roughly 3/4 of tank. Could it be the fuel filter? I am clueless, the mechanic says he knows what to do but I figure I would ask you guys as I am sure you know more than this general mechanic in does. Thanks in advance.
