In the entire STATE of Indiana there is NO emissions testing, EVER, of any
vehicle ????
THAT is scary, but convenient.
What about safety checks ?
I went from California, where there are smog checks every 2 years for most
people, and it's 80 mph in heavy traffic a lot, and people are half-savvy
about their cars.
I moved to the Olympic peninsula of western Washington where there are Zero
smog or safety inspections - NADA , zip ! ...
The cars there , some of them, were so bad, and the people so uninformed
about them, that it was frightening - like it was Mexico or something.,
And I honest to god saw at least one person driving with headlights that did
not work, at all, ongoingly, not for like just a week, but like yep, that's
my car, I just don't drive at night.
And suspension and brakes so bad you just wouldn't believe it.
AND some of them thought I was lying when I explained to them what was wrong
with their cars !
So are there at least safety inspections in Indiana ?
I mean, you can't trust the people that own and drive them to keep them half
safe, after all, if they don't have to.
On the Olympic peninsula, you could drive with gas dribbling onto the
ground, and no one would ever care or notice. Third world, no kidding.

Good to know, might be some good buys for people from no-smog states.
