Yes, I think we're all disappointed that it will not be a new "bus". I'd like nothing more than to have the T5 (and T6 in 3 years) being sold here but I know it's not possible. As cute as that retro-microbus was there were 2 problems with that, the first being it was only popular here in the US (since they have allot more buses to choose from in Europe I guess) and the second being it was pretty darn small. If you look at it the back seats were at the back window. Ouch. Really just a bus shaped car.

Anyway, when they start selling them I'll go shoot a YouTube video at the local VW dealer so we can all get a good look.

Good point Bryan. I've been one of the naysayers all along but you have some very valid points. I think most of us here on the list are disappointed because we all want a new "bus" not a Minivan. However, a Minivan is VW's goal with this so I guess you can't complain about it too much.

I do agree that it is too little too late - they should have been on this years ago.

As far as it being assembled by Chrysler in Canada - I guess I personally don't have an opinion on that. last Chrysler I owned was an '90's Astro Van (and I loved it) and I've never owned a VW that wasn't 20 years old.

I'd be willing to see what they have come up with.
