Squeaking brakes can be caused by a few factors too much metal in the pads too much play in the pad holders glazed disc's jammed calapier. myself i would first jack up the van in the front so both wheels are off the ground spin the wheels to see if they both spin freely if one is tighter then the other then u have a presure problem or jammed calapier, at this point i would open the bleeder on the side that is jammed to find out if it is a calapier problem or a hose problem if after bleeder is opened and it is still hard to turn then it ia a calapier problem. if all is free turning then it is time to open it all up on the pads check make sure there is no carbon buildup then take some sandpaper on a flat surface and clean up the pads and run it over the disc a bit just to clean off some of the glaze. then i usually put some antiseeze on the holders if the holders are to loose then it is time to fix them up i have heard of people shimming them i usually weld and then cut off the excess metal (file or die cutter)so my pad fits well i then put silicon grease on the back of the pads and also clean up the calapiers and slides reinstall all and then test drive slow stops so the pads wear in normally.
