This comes to a personal decision, I reckon. My guess is that my risks of dying from a vehicle accident while driving on the road, or from a scratch leading to a MRSA skin infection, or from a stray bullet, are probably far, far higher than from a midnight propane leak. But hey! if someone sleeps easier knowing they have a propane detector in the van, then that's a good thing!
