I purchased a Dodge Grand Caravan with 50,000 miles on it via a "salvage
title".  I believe this van was 'safed - brought back from the wreckage'
because it had all the upgrades - leather interior, fancy seats, etc.
Otherwise, they would have let the wreckage rot in the junk yard.

Anyway.....I purchased and State of Ga. has to "inspect salvage titled
vehicles you plan to drive" before they will issue clean Ga. title (this car
may have been from out of state?) but that went good.  So I saved $2K
dollars and the car now has 200,000 miles and its been good.

Will I get what non-salvage vans get?  At 200K miles, the difference is like
$500 if that.  The caravan might bring $3000 which is only $2500 less than I
spent 150,000 miles ago.

Would I do it again - in a heartbeat!  But that 1st inspection is "risky" as
I think Ga. could prevent you from getting a Ga. title if the car is
purchased "out of state" but those details need to be confirmed!
