Ed, Just a couple of thoughts. Are you your wires & dist. cap the same type of connector? There is a new and old style connector, and if mismatched the engine will run like crap. Also, have you ever had your fule injectors cleaned? I recenly had mine done, and my 2.1 is now running better than ever. Jeff The cap is the same as the old one. (Though the problem is the same as it was before I changed it.) The fuel injectors have not been cleaned. Wouldn't these issues affect the running all the time, not just on start-up; and affect the idle all the time, not just when the engine is cold? Thanks for the suggestions.
