Michael, sounds like you're gettin' all confused here. MT-90 is a GL-4 gear oil for manual transmissions. You've been telling me/us all along that you have an automatic transmission in your 91 GL vanagon. It would take ATF Dexron in the auto trans part, And GL-5 gear oil in the differential portion, which you can check or fill by a plug on the side, But you can't drain it without dropping the pan for the diff. portion. Are we getting clear in any way yet ? scott -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Michael Sullivan Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2008 3:44 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Tranny Fluid Just wanted to confirm...MT90 for 91 GL?
