You have an automatic tranny ("the pan") in your "new" van Michael. Likely time to change the lube in it and the screen/filter and pan gasket. I used Redline when I changed mine years ago (when I had a '91 auto) and the difference in tranny performance was amazing, especially in Utah cold winters. bob> Date: Tue, 22 Jan 2008 13:15:21 -0800> From: sandwichhead@YAHOO.COM> Subject: Manual for 91GL> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Does anyone have an extra?> BTW: What is the pan in front of the oil pan? Tranny? I've got a small drip(probably old gasket) but fluid is dark. Owned the van for 3 months and going through all routine maintenance.> Thanks, Michael> 91GL'Gringo'> > > Thanks, Michael Sullivan _________________________________________________________________ Climb to the top of the charts!
