janet, you probably still have the rails there under the plywood.

all passenger vanagons with the 2 person middle seat have the floor tracks/rails it slides on. to remove the seat you must unbolt the 2 (or 4) little 13mm bolts that hold the seat to the rails, and then unscrew the aluminum slider door threshold sill strip and then the seat will slide out on these rails.
