We have installed them before. The work but they are totally different in the way that they install from the stock ones. The regulator they use is basically like the manual window regulator. This moves the motor from the place down in the bottom of the door to right behind the speaker in the door. If your mechanic is good installing it should not be a problem. If they are a "part replacer" then they are going to look at it and want you to send it back and get the OE regulator and motor. You want to double check it because it is possible that you have the wrong side (there is a right and left) and that may be why your guy is looking at it and saying it won't work. It will work it just takes some minor imagination.

I have the OE power regulators for $185. The motors we have in stock for $185 as well. Add this together and you get $370 for both. The Pimax is $185 for the regulator and motor together so it is a good deal but it is not just unbolt and bolt back in.

Let me know if I can help you further.

I bought one, seems to be a common application, but when the installer compared it to the stock regulator it was not even close to fitting. The end with the motor on it would have to be bent about 90 degrees down to make it fit, and he was afraid that the cable would be too bent to make it work. > > Anyone experienced this?
