Lately I have seen more and more Hiace's and Delica's in Vancouver too.

IMHO, yes they would make a nice camper plus the diesel engines make them even more attractive (to some). And if I'm not mistaken, the AWD model (Hiace) has a decent low gear for crawling.

If I ever "got out" of my Westy, I'd have a serious look at one of these. The RH drive thing might be an obstacle for me, but for some no problem.
