You'd probably end up having to rase the floor since the exising spot is in the two furthest forward full width recesses (at least in my 86 syncro). I suppose you could grind down one ofthe mor forward recssses but I don't know howthick the metal is and it might actually mean you're putting a LARGE hole in your floor.
