Allan,

More likely than the fuel sender opening are the grommets where the
crossover tube inserts into the tank, or the grommets where the tubes
to the overflow tanks insert. Our favorite vendors all sell tank seal
kits with these parts. Dennis' advice is right on re: checking the
whole system.
