The "wallaced" used on this list is not quite the same as "Tim
Wallaced". A number of years ago (4 or 5?) one of our list members
(named Wallace) went on vacation and had his email server send an "on
vacation/out of office" message reply to his emails. Unfortunately,
he forgot to put his vanagon list subscription on "hold", and for a
week or more the traffic on this list effectively doubled...for every
message sent to the list, all of us received a "on vacation/out of
office" message from Mr. Wallace. Since that time, anytime the list
receives one of those "on vacation" or "out of office" messages we
refer to this situation as "being Wallaced".
