<Your fuel filter should not have let any rust or water get throuh to the injectors. THe new one might be clogged already>
Uhhh, I would not bet too heavily on that. My '84 was running fine until I ran it very low on fuel (don't ever plan on buying gas in Lynchburg, VA. on a Sunday, very hard to find an open station). Because of that, it must have sucked in crud from the fuel tank which clogged the filter. Changing out the filter helped, but I never got the full performance back until I had the injectors cleaned. Prior to the injector cleaning, I swapped out filters again, but the filter was clean. Jeff |
