Just got back from the North American International Auto show in Detroit.

I was looking at the new Subaru 3.6 6 cylinder engine they had on display.

[ No sign of the upcoming diesel..]

and i was surprised to see that the engine had no roller bearings on the lifters.

i thought that was a no brainer in engine design these days......?
