Let me jump in with my own VWofA story from several years ago and how the company attitude comes from the top down.

The short story is that I had a claim denied by VWofA. The person at VWofA said they had spoken to the service manager of the VW dealer for information and that the claim was denied. However, I knew that they had never called the service manager so I asked to speak to the person's supervisor at VWofA. The supervisor refused to speak to me.

I wrote a letter to the president of VWofA not complaining about the claim being denied, but about being lied to about the matter and said that he needed to know what was going on and how that negatively impacted the company. He never had anyone respond to that letter.

If the President does not care, then why should we think anyone beneath that position should care?
