The right stuff is the powder that comes in the tube. It says "golden seal" on the side. (It is not the aluminum stuff.)

Some people also use the Subaru coolant conditioner. This you can get at any Subaru dealer for a buck or two. Some of the Subaru's require that the conditioner be used for the warranty to stay valid.
