Mike-

I've got a bigger everest furnace and the only issues I've had with heat hasn't been the heater, it's been the propane tank. The horizontal tanks work fine in the winter I've used mine till -15. The problem is often due to the small size of your tank and it running out. If you try and use a more vertical BBQ with an extend a stay outside I've found it won't work well even as high as the 30's. You can however put the tank in the driver side foot well and then your good.
