Personally, I still like a bar as you can hang towels and such up there. Seems like I'm always drying something out from dish towels to tee-shirts, and it's a handy location. I also think a bar would be more stylish than handles. I do like Neil's idea about holes, but he's probably right that things would fall through the hole, and you would probably have to finish off the edges unless you enjoy looking at the bands of plywood. T- molding would probably work well though. Lots of great ideals! I look forward to installing my own BZ shelf this spring.
