Funny how our personal experiences colour our views.

I have been driving my '84 for 155,000 miles or so and have had no trouble with the speedometer whatsoever. I even push the odometer reset button when driving away from the gas station almost every time. I have tranferred this behaviour to my Mom's '91 and our '86 with no ill effects.

YMMV :)
