Hi all. Re: long steel coolant pipes. From what I've read, it seems that *sometimes* these pipes rust at the rear portions, from the outside in. Is this due to water/salt/crap being kicked up by the rear tires? Or ? Has anyone made a guard to keep the typical rust areas from getting overly exposed to whatever makes them lose their paint and rust? Or is this even possible/practical? It's likely the paint on mine will last longer than factory. I've applied 3 coats of POR-15. They should hold up for a while! But..... Considering all the work I've put in, I thought some kind of shield or guard could be made to limit the exposure these rust prone areas see. Just a thought. Thanks for any insights! Neil.
