Since I mentioned that I did my windshield myself, I had a few inquiries about used prices, and I looked up some places for new as well. (I got mine from a fellow list-mamber in a trade, so mine didn't cost anything.) Local shops in CT quoted $300 to $400 installed w/o new gasket Online quotes from www.windshieldstogo.com New with gasket, installed, $299, they come to you New, pick-up and install yourself, w/o gasket, $138- they have p/u locations across the country Junkyard in PA where I go in the fall when I'm camping in the area, $40, but monthly special for $20 Granted, you won't always find a good one in the junkyard, and you really have to check them out often, but at least it's cheapl I think the best deal is the $138 new for pick-up; I've seen gaskets online for under $20. It really was an easy job to do it myself, so even if I went with new windshield and new gasket, it would still be half the price of havin one installed. Several local places wanted $110 to install my used one. _________________________________________________________________ Connect and share in new ways with Windows Live. http://www.windowslive.com/share.html?ocid=TXT_TAGHM_Wave2_sharelife_012008 |
