Here is a little more that I have learned.

DVB TV is software for TechnoTrend DVB-s and DVB-c PCI cards for TV on a computer. So you must have an internet connection. This will allow you to watch all these channels on a computer BUT, it is designed make possible the watching of TV on a regular TV/TV Monitor by way of the "Video Out" plug on the board. Apparently once you buy the soft ware and get your DVB board installed, yo never again pay any TV fees //there is still the internet connection fee, but no channel fees and the like. I think the other systems - STV TV works the same way.

Google up Free to Air TV and also DVB TV. There is lots there. - much of which I don't quite understand.
