If it's the governor cap on the left side, My main tip is don't let any dirt or junk fall in there while you have the cap off. Clean well around the outside before removing the cap. On the ones I do there are weights in there, but no piston or spring. Scott www.turbovans.com

it should be a pretty easy job remove check that all the parts go back in the way they came out after you remove the cap clean the edge nicely i use silicone grease on the seal and the opening when puting it back
