Sunbrella is a yuppie/preppie fabric for the sail set. It has no resistance to abrasion and is not water repellant. Have any of you heard of a product called Herculite? It comes in several weights. If we can ever keep Brian T well enough, we shall finish his rainfly of Herc 80. Herc 10 would be fine. It is waterPROOF. it does not shrink, fade, mold or mildew. It has a warp and weft tear rating which doesn't stand up to a bozzo with a knife. It resists pigeosn, seagulls and battery acid, but turns to snot if you use Thompson's WaterSeal on it. In our upholstery shop, we are making two ASI tops of it.
