Subject: How to get my Van from Minnesota to California this July?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

We're planning a roadtrip for the summer and I'm looking for some help from the 'List'.

We have a family (my wife's) reunion in Tower, Minnesota over July 4th. We live in the San Francisco / Bay Area California. I would like to make this into a roadtrip (with our '87 Westy), but other than just driving directly there and back (~5000 miles) I can't see how to make this work with the limited time off work I will have (& the family is not enthusiastic about a non-stop drive, they would reasonably rather stop & see a few places on the way...).

A one-way trip (CA to MN) would work, so I'm trying to figure out how to get my Westy back from Minnesota at the end of the trip. That means a ~2200 mile trip (via the most direct route) from somewhere such as Minneapolis to San Francisco, leaving on or around July 6th.

Any suggestions from list members? (vehicle delivery services or even someone interested in driving it for us).

Thanks,

Mike '87 Westy (will be getting muengine & other work done to be sure that it is in top condition for such a trip)
