As Tom Bz mentions....PPC macs are ancient history now. Modern Macs use Intel chips (and there have been at least 2 generations of Intel chips used now, across the entire Mac line up.)

Parallels runs window with Mac OS X. Works pretty darn well (and ETKA works fine on it, if the windows version used is acceptable for ETKA.) It is not the only thing I use windows for (as I use it for work too, unfortunately), but Parallels makes this quite painless.

I'm pondering how/when to install a Mac Mini as the master control unit for a sound system on my Westy. The early (PPC) model used a lot less power than the newer Intel version. But the newer Intel version can handle HD TV feeds and run them in 1080p without problems. The only other issue with the MacMini is that it has but a single video port, and I wanted to have both a in dash monitor and a larger one for the back (especially for watching HDTV and/or movies). Probably just do a video switcher, but details are still to be worked out amongst all the other projects I have to do.....
