heres another cool grille emblem mod if your not into the retro hippy look :<
)

the grille emblem from a '99-'06 golf/jetta 4  will fit the '88-'91 vanagons
grille..
whats different about it?   its domed..convex..  wheras the emblem on the
vanagon has a flat face..   plus the mk4 emblems usually have nice shiny chrome,
wheras the vanagon emblems are usually dull.   its a easy mod..  there is a
slight bit you have to trim off the mk4 emblem tabs, but it fits right into the
88-91 vanagon grille like the stock emblem does..

easy mod and it gives your '88-'91 a more modern look!
