Maybe you'd be interested in LED tail lights. 
That's been done before. 
Bright, now power consumption, last forever.

I had this information saved and now cannot find it, nor can I find it in
the archives. Sometime in the last few months, someone posted a list of
bulbs for the Vanagon in increasing wattages for each application, i.e.
taillight- stock number, 7 watt trade number, 10 watt trade number, etc. 


If anyone has this list, could you please re-post or p-mail me? 

This was discussed on the Samba forum, and I wanted to re-post it there but,
as I said, I can't find it.
