Yeah, my rear heater was disconnected when I bought the van. Not surprising, given how caked with corrosion the core was. Unfortunately, it was "disconnected" via a piece of EMT conduit splicing the inlet and outlet hoses together. When I re-did all the hoses I chucked the rear core, replaced the plastic tees with metal 5/8" ones, and used the teed hoses to feed the auto tranny cooler. The front heat is so effective, I can't imagine even NEEDING the rear core, particularly here in southern california. -- John Bange '90 Vanagon - "Geldsauger" |
